CLASS: Restore a Painting #1

This two-day workshop is all about taking two or more of your paintings for which you hold no excitement. Maybe you think one of your pieces belongs in the rubbish, or that it completely missed your intention for it. The classes are designed to teach you ways to see the hidden potential in such paintings, and alter the painting(s) so you DO find it appealing. During the class we will look to a few acrylic mediums, watercolor paint, and other supplies that can significantly alter a painting while allowing the artist ability to paint over the “repair” to incorporate it in the painting. You will also learn about easy, readily available collage items to mask and/or build new sections of a piece. The most dramatic change we will discuss is to tear a painting(s) to preserve only the sections that appeal to you and use them to create a new start. This is a FUN, energetic workshop.
