C.J. Westrick

C.J. Westrick is originally from Nebraska but spent most of her adult years in California. She moved to Oak Run with her husband, Wayne, in mid-2022 and became an enthusiastic member of ACOR in early 2023.

Although she would draw occasionally and work on a variety of crafts (silversmithing, crochet, hard-shell gourds, woodworking, etc.), she always dreamed of painting. In 2002, she became a certified One Stroke Painting Instructor and taught classes in four of the Michael’s Arts & Crafts stores around the San Diego CA area. C.J. wasn’t able to continue teaching due to time constraints after starting her San Diego-based human resources consulting firm in 2006. Although C.J. has stopped interacting with clients, she will continue to oversee the company and her employees until she closes the business in 2024.

Last December, C.J. started viewing online lessons to learn how to watercolor… a dream she’s had for years. She currently continues to develop both her drawing skills and knowledge of watercolor painting. She is very excited to meet and spend time with others who share her love of creating something from nothing.
