Monthly Meeting 12/20
Follow-Up — It was very exciting to have so many members bring their artwork for show and tell! In addition, several people commented on learning more about the copyright laws so they could choose their reference photos better.
(3rd Wed, 12/20, 9:30-11:30am, Island Club) During December’s meeting, C.J. Westrick will present two topics of interest (“Art and Copyright Laws” and “Image to Paper”).
- Art and Copyright Laws – Many of us use classes or reference photos to create our art. That’s fine for creating and practicing your art but you need to be very careful about selling that art. We’ll discuss the copyright laws and how they affect what we can do with our finished artwork.
- Image to Paper – There are many ways to take your idea or photo and put it on paper so you can paint. We’ll show you several methods but are anxious to hear how you go about this process.
Show and Tell – Please bring in and display any artwork you have completed since our last Monthly Meeting (11/15). You’ll do a brief introduction and the artwork will be displayed for viewing.
Annual Dues – We have changed our renewal year so it begins on January 1st. This means your $10 annual dues are now due. Please bring a check (payable to ACOR) or cash for your renewal. Heather Doherty is our Membership Chair so she will be collecting the dues.
